Hot Summer Nights

Once again, another mighty 6 months plus since the last update. Year 13 and Bubblehead Media is still going strong and providing hundreds of videos to the publication industry and production industry in general. Always hard to pick out the highlights when you are are doing about 100 videos a year but I’d never been to Hampton Court Palace before (even though I lived in London for 12 years). It was a real treat to film the wonderful historian Tracy Borman in the grounds where Queen Elizabeth held court and to get to know a bit more about that era. Another shoot with Miriam Margoyles has to be up there, she was as potty mouthed and kind as always (she gave us all iceream at the end!) It was lovely to catch up with Michael Morpurgo at Nethercote Farm in a warm spring. What a lovely and inspiring man. Hamza Yassin was a good shoot, lovely chap who even helped me with my gear (the only other person who I remember insisting on helping me was Stanley Tucci!)It was also interesting to see such an array of wonderful wildlife at the back of Olympic Park and of course it was all brought alive by Hamza’s excellent storytelling style. We had more sports shoots with the likes of Joe Cole and George North, more editing for luminaries such as David Attenborough and Billy Connolly, lots of live shoots with the dry and commanding Karin Slaughter and Lee Ryan, Jeremy Vine and Sara Cox to name just a few. More TV personality shoots from the lovely Lorraine Kelly at ITV to Meera Syal on the covershoot and David Walliams (dressed up hilariously as Super Dave up in Liverpool). We have been working with Castle Entertainment again, working on the new Slash Live film and other projects that are currently embargoed. Tim Weaver is always a personal favorite as he is a really great chap and only lives about 10 minutes away and I added to my collection of Made in Chelsea stop trump shoots with vegan foodie Lucy Watson recently (to add to Jamie Laing, Millie Mackintosh and Ollie Locke that I’ve done over the years). I enjoyed filming Suzi Ruffell who I liked enormously and to do some follow up edits with Tom Allen was a double double bonus! Well there were lots of other shoots over the past few months, lots of editing and lots to come for the rest of 2025 with an October shoot in Athens and another 6 live shoots in the bag so might be Christmas before next update!
